This Wexford restaurants guide will help you find the best places to find local produce on menus around the sunny south east in Ireland.
You may even find a new favorite among the best restaurant contenders in this list. (Like the above pictured chicken and eggs at La Vista Restaurant Wexford.)
Starting in the North of the county, these options are all located in and near bustling Gorey.
Farina – When it comes to Italian Restaurants around Wexford, Farina is a hidden gem. The dining room is located within Amber Springs Hotel grounds and has one of the best wood-fired pizzas we’ve had in Ireland – your taste buds will thank you!
BBG Bar – Another restaurant option at Amber Springs Hotel is BBG Bar, where you’ll find a warm welcome and pub classics. The burgers are particularly exceptional, of the highest quality.
Cowhouse Cafe – is a bustling, usually busy spot that you can expect to find hearty, homemade soup, salad. sandwiches, lunch specials, perfectly cooked fish and chips and a mouthwatering choice of cakes and slices, along with good service and friendly team members.
Wexford Lavender Farm – a day out is made sweeter with a visit to the on site cafe to indulge in a slice of cake or a serve of scones and a cup of coffee or tea. (Be sure to check their social media for the latest opening updates.)
Greenhouse Cafe – We find ourselves at the extensive Springmount garden centre just to indulge in the hearty scones, breakfast or a warming bowl of soup on offer at the in store Greenhouse Cafe.
Kate’s Coffee Shop – is seemingly always busy thanks to the huge portions and hearty, homemade food made with fresh ingredients that’s excellent value.
Loch Garman Arms – Gleesons Bar at Loch Garman Arms Hotel, located on the Main Street in Gorey, serves up good food and excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere.
I stopped in for a dessert and found their Sticky Toffee Pudding to be light, sweet and the perfect decadent treat at great value.
Katie Daly’s – One of the best restaurants in Gorey is Katie Daly’s Bar which is a great place to enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks on the Main Street in Gorey.
Their menu features pub classics as well as familiar favorites like gourmet burgers, chicken wings and chicken baps, as well as a number of vegetarian options.

The Bailey – this popular spot is located in Enniscorthy, right in the heart of County Wexford. At The Bailey Bar, you’ll find an extensive menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, all freshly prepared.
In the past I’ve tried their fish and chips, gourmet burger and steak sandwich – and clearly the food is great as we keep going back!
On my latest visit, I was craving dessert and their popular Apple and Berry Crumble that came with homemade custard and creamy vanilla ice cream was sweet treat perfection.
Wells House – A visit to Wells House makes a wonderful day out, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, from magical forest walks, an adventure playground and coming up close to farm animals.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the cafe where you can expect delicious food for breakfast, lunch, sweet treats or afternoon tea.
Jaspers Restaurant – located in the bustling Crown Quarter in the heart of Wexford Town, enjoy great food for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with popular favorites as well as unique dishes that are well worth making a special trip to Wexford Town for.
The Jasper’s Breakfast Hash (pictured above) was a flavor burst with every mouthful. The breakfast consisted of a mix of fried eggs, crispy sausages, bacon and potatoes – breakfast perfection!
La Vista Cafe Restaurant – located within The National Opera House building and boasting the perfect place to take in panoramic views of Wexford Town and beyond.
We’ve visited for breakfast, lunch and an afternoon sweet treat, all of which has been freshly made with local ingredients, served efficiently by friendly staff members.

Scup Gelato – this Wexford made luxurious, creamy gelato is my choice for the best good quality ice cream in County Wexford.
Find them on the quay in Wexford Town and served at cafes and restaurants at select locations around Wexford and Ireland to satisfy your sweet tooth with local Wexford produce.
The Little Saltee – located in Kilmore Quay, this fish and chips spot probably serves the freshest, best fish and chips you’ll find in County Wexford.
In the Summer months, you can enjoy a day at the pristine beach or catch a ferry to visit the unique Saltee Islands, while you’re in the area.
