O’Neills Pub Dublin Review – Traditional Irish Bar and Restaurant in Dublin City – with photos, map and video showing you the menu and around the traditional pub.
O’Neills Pub Dublin Review
O’Neills Pub Dublin is the perfect place to head when you’re after a high quality meal or a quiet pint in the historic heart of Dublin city centre.
The pub is conveniently located on Suffolk Street, just a short walk from Trinity College, Grafton Street and Dublin Castle. Here’s a map to help you find your way to O’Neill’s Bar:
There’s a choice of comfortable rooms across two floors to choose from. On the day I visited downstairs was busy and rowdy with a great atmosphere, and as I personally prefer a quieter environment, I headed upstairs which was yet to fill up with pub goers.
As you’ll see from the menu in the video below, there’s a choice of soups, Irish classics, an extensive sandwich selection including a tempting all day Irish breakfast Panini and indulgent Irish desserts too.
The service was efficient, I didn’t have to wait too long before a friendly staff member brought my hearty pub meal to my table.
I went for the Traditional Irish Stew which included tender diced Wicklow lamb, potatoes, carrots, onion, celery and leek and was served with 2 slices of soda bread and Irish butter.
The lamb was perfectly cooked, being meltingly tender, the vegetables added flavor too and the stew was rich and made for the perfect dipping broth for the soda bread that I spread with plenty of the Irish butter.
