Maggie Mays Belfast City Centre Restaurant Cafe Review – with photos and video of the Bumper Ulster Fry Northern Ireland Breakfast.
Maggie Mays Belfast Review
Maggie Mays Belfast is an incredible place to head to for a hearty all day breakfast when you’re in the bustling city in Northern Ireland. Best of all, the meals are freshly made and budget friendly too.
We enjoyed the meal as part of a perfect trip to Northern Ireland, where we caught the train from Dublin to Belfast and spent a few days taking in the sights of the city. Here’s a video of the train journey, hit play below or click here to watch on YouTube.
The extensive menu includes a huge selection of all day breakfast goodies, as well as tempting fries, soup, salads and sandwiches such as club sandwiches.
If you’re not wanting a full meal, there’s also a selection of homemade cakes and slices that you can enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee as a treat.
I went for the Bumper Fry which is an epic breakfast that includes two fried eggs, two bacon and sausages, potato bread, soda bread, a pancake, hash brown, mushrooms, beans, tomato and if that isn’t enough carbs for you, there’s also a portion of chips.
For me, the highlight of breakfast in Northern Ireland is always the potato bread and soda bread, both of which were cooked to perfection in this instance. The perfectly runny eggs complemented the tasty breads, with all of the other elements being flavorful as well.
We found each element to be fresh and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast meal that fueled a day of sightseeing around Belfast.
