We regularly visit Gorey and sample the delights on offer among the cafes, restaurants and tasty eating options.
You’ll find that most of these restaurants offer an outdoor seating area so that you can enjoy the great outdoors over a long lunch or dinner.
Katie Daly’s Gorey
One of the best restaurants in Gorey is Katie Daly’s Bar which is a great place to enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks on the Main Street in Gorey. Their menu features pub classics as well as familiar favorites like gourmet burgers, chicken wings and chicken baps, as well as a number of vegetarian options.
I enjoyed lunch there and had one of the most incredibly cheesy four cheese toastie, stuffed and smothered in tasty cheese including brie, parmesan, cheddar and mozzarella and flavored with roasted garlic.
There’s also a tempting dessert menu that includes a cheesecake of the day. On the day I visited the cheesecake was a Baileys Cheesecake which was creamy, sweet and wonderfully indulgent.

Farina
When it comes to Gorey Italian Restaurants, Farina is a hidden gem. The restaurant is located within Amber Springs Hotel grounds and has one of the best wood-fired pizzas we’ve had in Ireland.
BBG Pub
Another restaurant option at Amber Springs Hotel is BBG Bar, where you’ll find a warm welcome and pub classics, including an extensive wine list. The Angus burgers as a main course are particularly exceptional.
Greenhouse Cafe at Springmount Garden Centre
We find ourselves at the extensive Springmount garden centre just to indulge in the hearty scones or a warming bowl of soup on offer at their in store relaxed restaurant Greenhouse Cafe, which has a friendly atmosphere and a good menu of amazing food at a reasonable price.
Cowhouse Cafe
The Cowhouse Cafe is a bustling, usually busy spot that you can expect to find quality food including hearty, homemade soup, salad and sandwiches, perfectly cooked fish and chips and a mouthwatering choice of cakes and slices, all served by friendly staff in a relaxing dining experience.
Wells House
A visit to Wells House makes a wonderful day out, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, from magical forest walks, an adventure playground and coming up close to farm animals.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the cafe for breakfast, lunch, sweet treats or afternoon tea.
Loch Garman Arms
Gleesons Bar at Loch Garman Arms, located on the Main Street in Gorey, serves up good food and excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere.

18C Bubble Tea Gorey
Enjoy a refreshing Bubble Tea at this spot in Gorey that serves up a tasty choice of fresh flavors with unique toppings.
Gino’s Gelato In Gorey
The whole family always loves a visit to Gino’s Gelato for a sweet, creamy gelato treat, crepe or waffle.
I’m a fan of their strawberry gelato, made with 100% organic Irish milk and full of fresh strawberry flavor.
Kate’s Coffee Shop
Kate’s Coffee Shop is seemingly always busy thanks to the huge portions and hearty, homemade food featuring local produce. We love the creamy soup and giant scones.
Wexford Lavender Farm
A day out at the Wexford Lavender Farm is made sweeter with a visit to the on site cafe to indulge in fantastic food such as a slice of cake or serve of scones and a cup of coffee or tea served by the lovely staff. (Be sure to check their social media for the latest opening updates.)
