Beanhive Dublin Review – a look at the Dawson Street restaurant menu, a Full Irish Breakfast, hot drink with coffee art – with photos and cafe video.
Beanhive Dublin Review
Beanhive Dublin has been on my must eat wishlist for ages and the other day I finally managed to actually snag a table at the much loved Dublin cafe for breakfast and the prettiest hot chocolate I’ve ever had the joy to encounter.
The reason it took me so long to actually enjoy a meal at the coffee shop is because the seating area is tiny and there seems to always be a queue out the door, eager to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.
Well, one rainy Monday morning I lucked out and got to experience the food and see the coffee art for myself.
Menu
Beanhive Coffee serves up delicious coffee, a choice of tasty ciabattas, wraps and salad bowls as well as serving an all day breakfast menu with a choice of a full Irish breakfast, super breakfast, vegetarian breakfast, vegan breakfast or scrambled eggs.
You can order your high quality coffee, tea or hot chocolate with a choice of dairy free milks including oat milk, almond milk, soya milk or coconut milk.
Selected hot beverages can also choose to have their mug topped their famous coffee art. As you can see, my hot chocolate was topped with an adorable pair of ducks that was a true work of art and almost a shame to stir away to actually consume the indulgent, creamy hot chocolate with latte art.
Super Breakfast Review
I went for the super breakfast which is a huge plate full of Irish breakfast goodies including a runny fried egg, flavorful white pudding, tomato, mushroom, a couple of crisp hash browns, bread with butter, baked beans, sausages and bacon. Each element arrived hot and perfectly cooked.
The breakfast also included the beautiful hot chocolate for a total cost of 15 Euro, which I think is great value for a meal that kept me full for the better part of the day.
Location
Beanhive Dublin is conveniently located right in the heart of Dublin city centre, on Dawson Street, just a short walk from St. Stephen’s Green, Trinity College and Grafton Street, which you can visit before or after your hearty meal. Here’s a map to help you find your way there:
