These Howth Restaurants are the best places to eat and drink around the small fishing village of Howth in County Dublin.
If you’re a fan of fresh fish and seafood, then you’re in luck as you’ll find plenty of options that make the most of the best local produce.
Howth’s west pier is a veritable foodie paradise in Co. Dublin, with restaurant after seafood restaurant all offering a high standard and featuring fresh ingredients.
While you’re in Howth, be sure to take a walk along the Howth Pier, taking in best views of the Howth Harbour from every vantage point.
Bloody Stream – located next door to Howth Dart Station, you’ll find a warm welcome, great service and delicious food at this Irish pub, like the above pictured perfectly cooked, crispy fish and chips. You may even be treated to live music while you enjoy your hearty pub meal.
King Sitric – for sea views and fresh seafood, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal following a strenuous Howth Cliff Walk.
Beshoffs of Howth – a popular spot for fresh seafood that’s consistently fresh and served with your choice of sides and toppings.
Brass Monkey – expect good food with an extensive menu including a choice of seafood tapas.
Wrights of Howth – this renowned seafood shop is a great place to purchase fresh seafood to cook yourself, grab a tasty hamper to take away or enjoy a relaxed sit down meal of one of their specialty seafood dishes such as seafood chowder.
Crabby Jo – my choice on a recent day trip for fresh fish and chips take away, both of which were perfectly cooked, crunchy and superbly fresh.
Aqua Restaurant – at the very end of the West Pier, this is the perfect fine dining option for a special occasion.
30 Church Street Howth – climb Church Street for spectacular views of Howth Harbour from above. Savor the views by enjoying a meal of quality food at 30 Church Street.
Howth Market – On Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, a visit to the Howth Market is a must. The market is a food lovers paradise, including a choice of a number of international foods and artisan produce that you can take away or enjoy at one of the many tables located around the market.

Ice Cream – an essential treat when visiting the seaside, choose from OMG Ice Cream, Gino’s Gelato and Amore Gelato, at the entrance to Howth Market, which was my choice.
I savored every creamy mouthful of the Reeces ice cream, full of rich chocolate and peanut butter flavor.
Pog – if you’re craving breakfast, brunch, vegan food or the best coffee in the heart of Howth, then head to Pog where you’ll find pancakes served all day and a choice of healthy eating options.
I’ve been to one of their Dublin city outlets and enjoyed the above pictured vegan Acai Bowl that’s loaded with superfoods and makes a healthy and sweet way to start your day.
I’ve also tried their Breakfast Brioche that’s loaded with breakfast goodies including bacon, halloumi and a poached egg, all cooked to perfection.
